Exploring Partnering
Join us for a sovereign flow session building on our self trust, by introducing how we can flow with others.
Hello gorgeous!
I'm so excited to have you joining us in this journey. The purpose of this practice is to deepen your trust with your own body, in order to explore what partnership feels like with other movers. We will deepen our Sovereign Flow practice to ignite your chakras, and then begin a gentle exploration with other group members! Everything we are exploring should not feel invasive in any way. There will be several options for how to move with a partner, all with an offer presented and then you choose whether to accept or not, so you can work at your comfort level.
What to expect:
- Opening circle to connect with ourselves, our new friends and discuss boundaries
- Group Reiki session and meditation to ground ourselves and awaken our energy centre
- Sovereign Flow Practice to get our bodies moving and warm
- Begin exploring partnering with other participants
- Closing circle to reflect and celebrate together!
What to wear:
Comfortable, movement friendly clothing. I am planning to have us on the floor at some point, so keep that in mind when choosing what will keep you comfy! The AC is a little unpredictable in this space, so I would suggest layers so you can find your comfort if the space becomes very warm. I am planning to be barefoot, but feel free to wear socks or join me barefoot! Shoes are a little harder to accommodate for this practice since we will be closer to one another. Please contact me if this is of concern to you for us to work out a solution.
What to bring:
- Water Bottle
- Yoga Mat - If you have one, but not mandatory! - Alternatively you could bring a towel to put under you on the floor
- An open mind and heart!
Please aim to be there on time or a few minutes early! After our opening circle, I will be locking the front door in order to preserve our group focus.

Something that allows you to move freely. Think comfy gym clothes, as we will likely be lying down, sitting, and wiggling around!
You do not, but you can wear them if you like! I often practice barefoot, or in socks. That is up to you and your preferences. I would not recommend wearing street shoes, as it limits your ability to connect with the ground, but accommodations can be made if you require footwear of some kind.
Absolutely! That is a major part of my practice, to get you more comfortable in your body and begin to explore what dance and movement mean to you!
I always suggest bringing a water bottle, and if you have one, a yoga mat for your comfort on the floor.
Yes, for this workshop there are moments of connecting physically with other participants. We will have a group conversation about boundaries beforehand, and we will be switching partners throughout the class so you get the opportunity to work with multiple movers.
Explore new connections with movement!
